Summary
Teaching art has filled me with unique experiences and knowledge. that my students have been able to transmit to me. As an IB examiner for the Exhibition component I strongly believe art education is a wonderful tool for people to express feelings, thoughts and sensations that we all, as humans, experience and have the right to express. I believe the main goal of art education should be for it to provide a unique opportunity to students to give rein to their imagination and release themselves from external expectations. Art has this incredible ability to humanize people, and throughout my years in the field, I had the opportunity to witness this on several occasions and enable it through my practice as an art teacher. I am resilient and agile, my professional experiences teaching digital art and planning and producing collaborative projects have enriched my teaching practices in a unique way and shaped my vision of artistic education. Each kid is a world full of surprises, one more beautiful than the other. I am grateful to my students for giving me that ability to surprise with the simplest things that life offers us.
