I have a MSc in Marine Biological Resources and am working in applied shark/conservation research. My study focuses on whale shark ecology and behaviour that leads to applied conservation management strategies through the creation of marine protected areas. I have also varied experience as a university lecturer, experiential educator, tour leader, grant writer, and wildlife photographer. I consider myself a team player and skillful as a group leader.

During my spare time I dedicate myself to fostering a deeper connection between humanity and nature through my role as the Galapagos Hub Leader for the Sustainable Ocean Alliance. I lead environmental education initiatives in collaboration with the national 'Mingas por el Mar' project, coordinate and participate in coastal and urban clean-up activities, lead communication campaigns on environmental subjects, and use art to foster a connection with nature by painting ocean-themed murals with community members.
As an avid adventurer, I also use my spare time for outdoor sports such as rock climbing, white water rafting, freediving, scubadiving activities and combine them with my interests in wildlife identification and photography.
