I am an audit supervisor at the BDO Offshore division. I primarily work on Belgian clients and am therefore, experienced in both SA and BE audit methodologies. I am currently doing CIMA in the hopes of qualifying as a CGMA. I have worked in audit since 2016, having started my training at EY and eventually worked as a Senior Assurance Specialist at PwC SDC division. I am a hard worker with a passion for teaching and developing others. You will find me giving hugs to colleagues and encouraging others when the deadlines are many and the nights are long.

The division has grown a lot since its inception in 2022 - the main challenge I have faced in this environment is the language barrier with most of our clients communicating in Dutch or French.
This poses a continual challenge to my learning and development.

REASON FOR DEPARTURE:

I worked at the service delivery centre which a division of the company that assisted the main audit teams - this meant that the skills learnt here would be limited and the role is ideal for someone who has completed their training.
As I had not at the time, an opportunity came for me to complete my training at BDO. I was offered a place in their Belgian division which I have been a part of since 2022.
