• I developed the STECDSI Health Surveillance Program (the main program of the occupational health department.) in 2023.
• I applied and obtained the Operating Permit for the STECDSI medical office from the Ministry of Health.
• I attended aproximately 500 medical each year.
• Pre employed medicals that were incomplete in last 2 years were updated.

• RESPONSABILITIES:
• I led the occupational health department in the subsidiaries of Peru, Colombia and Ecuador.
• Developed and implemented occupational health programs, resulting in reduced workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Assisted in developing emergency response plans for various scenarios, preparing staff members to handle crisis situations safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate health activities with Peru, Colombia and Ecuador camp health teams.
• Served as a liaison between employees, management, and healthcare providers, facilitating effective communication regarding occupational health matters.
• Compliance with programs of the Ministry of Labour such as Psychosocial Risk, Alcohol and other drugs, HIV, Sexual and Reproductive health, etc.

• I supported the reduction of Total Recordable Injury Frequency (TRIF) in the country (ECUADOR) from 2019 to 2020 with the support of the entire Health and Safety Team.
• Translation of documents and local implementation of international company health procedures such as Fatige Management, Medical Evaluation for drivers,mine workers; from: Australian regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration & Mine Safety and Health Administration Regulations.
• Development and implementation of the COVID-19 safety protocols to Fortescue's sites in Ecuador.
• 100% vaccination coverage against Covid-19 was achieved for all staff in Ecuador and Colombia.

• Performed regular audits of company operations, ensuring adherence to established health and safety guidelines while identifying areas for improvement.
• Developed policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety, fostering a safer work environment for employees at all levels.

• Conducting all pre-employment medicals and provide a report of fit or unfit for each role.
• Review of personnel who were unfit for specific duties.
• Provide guidance to onsite para medics on use and issue of medications to ENSA staff and contractors.
• Assessed, diagnosed, and treated emergency and accute medical conditions on work field.
• Educated patients on preventative measures, contributing to a decrease work absenteeism.
• ACHIEVEMENTS:
• Conduct onsite reviews, treatment as required and at times referrals to local medical providers for follow up treatment.
• Provide over the phone emergency medical care to workers in remote camps.
• As one of the two doctors who started the company's medical team in Ecuador, we developed the company's Health Surveillance Program.

• ACHIEVEMENTS:
• I succesfully implemented the weight loss competition in Ecuador in 2023, managing to reduce the Body Mass Index (BMI) by 4% in Ecuador Staff. I received an economic award for that.

• RESPONSABILITIES:
• Caring for patients for general illnesses and accidents in the Workover RIG (oil workover rig) on REPSOL Fields located at Orellana Province.
• Management of the occupational health program in the Workover RIG (oil workover rig)
• ACHIEVEMENT:
• I developed the Workover RIG Medical Departament because I was one of the first doctors on this type of workover rig in Ecuador since the company arrived.

• Management of the occupational health program in the projects: GUAYASAMIN Tunnel (Quito), PASTAZA Bridge (Highway Puyo to Macas), BAÑOS-PUYO Highway.
• Support in industrial safety supervision in the company.
• ACHIEVEMENT:
• I developed the Medical department in the projects: PASTAZA Bridge (Puyo to Macas Highway), BAÑOS-PUYO Highway & GUAYASAMIN TUNNEL in Quito by being the first Doctor in those projects.
