High School Teacher And Counsellor
Port Elizabeth

Summary

Dynamic educator and registered counsellor with a proven track record at Victoria Park High School, excelling in student engagement and behavior management. Skilled in curriculum implementation and learning assessments, I foster a supportive environment that addresses diverse student needs, enhancing language acquisition through innovative teaching methods and technology integration.

I enjoy working with children of all age groups, whether in the classroom setting, in groups, or on an individual basis. Afrikaans serves as one of the key tools for communication and for fostering meaningful, healthy connections between people. My primary focus is to assist learners in mastering language and communication skills—particularly those who struggle academically due to challenges in reading and comprehension that were not addressed in earlier developmental stages.

At a counselling level, I aim to support learners in a more holistic manner by exploring whether emotional or psychological factors may be contributing to underperformance or learning difficulties. Counselling is conducted with the consent of both the parent and the learner, either when deemed necessary or upon request by the parent or teacher.
