Refugee Interview Supervisor

  • Responsible person from IOM to work with the U.S. Officers from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for the Bhutanese refugees interviews.
  • Focal point from IOM with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and NGO involved in the refugee resettlement program of the Bhutanese refugees in Nepal.
  • Responsible of supervising all the logistic, administrative and required paperwork from the Bhutanese refugees were in place, in order for them to be interviewed by DHS.
  • In charge of keeping IOM Senior Manager informed regarding the case load and status reports of the interviewed refugees .
  • Responsible to coordinate with the Operations Department the departure of the refugees that were approved by DHS to the United States.

  • IOM´s focal point with Governmental and NGO Organizations that worked with Colombian refugees in Ecuador, such as UNHCR, HIAS, PRM, DHS and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to develop and deepened relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Responsible of investigating relevant calls for proposals published locally, regionally and internationally for the region.
  • In charge of providing trainings in designated funding (such as e.g. proposal writing, donor requirements) for the regional office team as well as for partners.

  • Established and strengthed CBM´s networks and alliances in the region, towards inclusive humanitarian practices in collaboration with other organizations that work in the humanitarian area.
