I cannot begin to express the depth of my gratitude and admiration for my college advisor, Amanda Garcia. From the moment I started my college admissions journey, Amanda was an unwavering source of guidance, support, and encouragement. She made a process that initially felt overwhelming and intimidating into something structured, manageable, and even exciting. Her firm yet compassionate approach ensured that I always knew exactly what needed to be done, while her thoughtful and honest feedback pushed me to be my best self.

As someone who struggles with anxiety, the college application process felt daunting—but Amanda had a way of humanizing every step. She never made me feel like just another student on a screen. Instead, she fostered a real connection, creating a safe space where I could express my concerns about essays, scholarships, financial aid, and everything in between. She listened, she understood, and she reassured me in a way that no one else could. Because of her, I never felt alone in this journey.

I love having Amanda as my advisor!!!

I have been with CollegeAdvisor since April of my Sophomore Year. Initially I was matched with an advisor that I thought was pretty good, but ended up not meeting the expectations or pacing that a student who is in their late sophomore year going into junior year needs. However, I was rematched and ended up matching with Amanda G. We met mid-way into my junior year and we immediately started catching me up. Within a few months, I have accomplished so much and felt so much more confident in terms of ECs, college readiness, etc. She is friendly, and I felt so much more comfortable with where I was and who I was working with after matching with her. Now I am wrapping up my junior year being ahead of most of my schoolmates thanks to her and feel like I have accomplished so much more since my rematch!!

Amanda!!

My advisor was Amanda Garcia and, while I joined late, she did all she could to get me caught up. She really helped me understand the application process as a first-generation student going to university. I wouldn't have been able to do it without her, and I'm so grateful for all the last-minute essay editing and support she pushed me through.

Extremely useful and worth every penny!

My advisor was super helpful and a great experience! Amanda Garcia taught me so many useful things about college, essays, scholarships, and much more. She also provided resources. For example, she gave me a Google Doc to fill out to search for my perfect university and a goals sheet to help me map out my goals and future, both of which were very useful. I enjoyed every meeting with her, and without her, I would've been lost on what to do and how to apply for college. I thank her endlessly, and I completely recommend her and CollegeAdvisor in general.
